What's New in July 2014

Not sure how much info to post on this blog as it is wide open to the Universe, so let me just say "Congratulations" twice and once more and "my Condolences" once.

Two couples tied the knot on the same day.
Four people began a journey that will hopefully last a lifetime.
And one young lady had her writing published (twice this year so far) and no it's not me.
She is still in School, although I will give you a little hint.
She too, has a blog and you can find the link in the sidebar.
And a few days before one special man finished his journey.
I am sure there are many more reasons to celebrate and reflect
and even grieve within our extended family
However, these are a few I have chosen to document.

Since I created this Blog I have struggled with the content.
Should it be
**a glorified facebook page for ranting and raving
**a calendar of events
**my space to journal about our family's life events
**a way to connect the family in a non-invasive way
**and list goes on and on in my head.

However, the main purpose of this blog is a "catch basin"
A place to go to to find the blogs our family members have.
At present the list is fairly short.
But if you know of another,
leave a comment and their blog address and I will add it to the sidebar.

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR 2014

Every year, I make or think about making resolutions that are really(?) unattainable. You know the ones like I am going to loose weight so I can fit into the jeans I had when I was ten. So this year, I decided to really think about what I want to change/finish/start. These are my top 5 1. Finish the ultimate family history book, so I can share it at the next reunion. 2. Go on a road trip with my daughter (this should be #1, but it's tooo cold to think about this right now) 3. Eat healthier, cut out the junk food. I notice if it's not in the house I don't eat it. 4. Go to Convention. 5. Share my passions (scrapbooking, crafting, travelling) with others. What's your resolution for 2014

searching by "labels"

Margaret & Walter left a legacy of numerous off-springs, many who seldom see each other.  So as I gather posts about our many members, I will "label" them according to  their children. For example the previous post carries a label "Shirley" which means that Candice is a direct descendant of Shirley's.
As I accumulate more posts, I will add more labels.

Day one--a new life together

So, a couple of years ago, Candice phones me.....nattering on and on about "Farley".  Hmm, he sound great, I'll be at Nathan's this weekend, maybe I could meet him.
So, I get to Nathan's and there is Candice with this guy, who she promptly introduces as "Dustin" (?)

I am thoroughly confused.  Who is this Dustin? What happened to Farley?
Turns out Farley is Dustin and on September 7, 2013 Farley married Candice.

Day One of a New ??

Okay, it's not a really big adventure,
it's more of a beginning of a collection
or the start of an endeavour.

As I was browsing through my collection of blogs, I noticed that there are a number of "Krochmal" family members who have joined this fast sea.  And I thought, wouldn't it be handy to have one blog that was the hub of the wheel. Hence the creation of this blog.
I have made the side bar big enough to showcase the title of your blog and a small pic and a tidbit of the post.  So, if you like what you see you can just click on it.

Now, I have only added the blogs that I know belong to Margaret & Walter Krochmal's descendants.
